Instructions for Cocaine Test Strips
Bring the tests, samples, buffers and/or controls to room temperature (15-30 °C) before use. Then simply follow these few steps.
- Open: Remove the Coc-Drug Screening Strip from the sealed packaging or take a strip from the container and use it as quickly as possible. For the best results, the test should be performed within one hour.
- Dip: Hold the strip at the end where the product name is printed. To avoid contamination, do not touch the membrane of the strip. Immerse the test strip in the urine sample for at least 10-15 seconds. Do not dip beyond the maximum line (MAX) on the test strip.
- Wait: After the test is completed, remove the strip from the sample and place it on a non-absorbent, flat surface.
- Read: Start the timer and wait until the colored bands appear. The result should be read after 5 minutes. Do not interpret the result after 10 minutes.

Only one colored band appears, in the control region (C). There is no colored band in the region (T). A positive result indicates that the drug concentration is above the detectable level.
Negative
Two colored bands appear on the membrane. One band appears in the control region (C) and another band appears in the region (T). A negative result indicates that the drug concentration is below the detectable level.
Invalid
The control band C fails to appear. Results of any test which has not produced a control C band at the specified read time must be discarded. Insufficient specimen volume or incorrect procedural techniques are the most likely reason for a control line failure.
