Fentanyl Test Kit – Cassette

The Fentanyl Test Kit Cassette (CLIA waived) is an immunoassay designed for the qualitative detection of fentanyl in human urine at a cutoff concentration of 1.0 ng/mL. It provides only preliminary results. A more specific chemical method (preferably GC/MS or LC/MS) must be used for confirmation. For in-vitro diagnostic use only.

Our prices are among the lowest on the market, with even better rates for bulk orders.

Key advantages:

  • 99.9% accuracy
  • CLIA waived
  • Low price
  • Wholesale pricing available
  • Easy to use
  • Results in 5 minutes
  • SAMHSA cutoff levels
  • Suitable for home and professional use

Fentanyl Test Strips

Fentanyl is a potent narcotic analgesic and a selective μ-opioid receptor agonist. It is listed in the United Nations’ “Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs” of 1961.

Among controlled opioids, fentanyl is one of the most commonly used medications for moderate to severe pain.

After continuous administration, the individual will exhibit prolonged opioid withdrawal symptoms such as ataxia and irritability, indicating dependence with long-term use.

Compared to amphetamine users, individuals addicted to fentanyl have a significantly higher risk of HIV infection, more dangerous injection practices, and a greater lifetime risk of fatal overdoses.

The Fentanyl Urine Test Cassette is a rapid urine screening test that can be performed without any instrument. It utilizes monoclonal antibodies to selectively detect elevated fentanyl levels in urine. The cassette yields a positive result when the fentanyl concentration exceeds 1 ng/mL.

If you’re interested in multi-drug tests that include fentanyl, check out our fentanyl-integrated cups such as the 12-panel drug test with fentanyl, 16-panel, and 18-panel test cups.

How does the CLIA waived fentanyl test work?

The Fentanyl Urine Test Cassette is an immunoassay based on the principle of competitive binding. Drugs that may be present in the urine compete with the drug conjugate for binding sites on the antibody.

During testing, a urine sample migrates upward through capillary action. Fentanyl, if present in the urine at a concentration below 1 ng/mL, will not saturate the antibody-coated particle binding sites in the test device.

The antibody-coated particles are then captured by the immobilized FYL conjugate, and a visible colored line appears in the test line region.
No colored line will form in the test line region when the FYL level exceeds 1 ng/mL, because it will saturate all binding sites of the anti-FYL antibodies.

A drug-positive urine specimen will not generate a colored line in the test line region, whereas a drug-negative specimen or one with a drug concentration below the cutoff will produce a line in the test line region.
As a procedural control, a colored line will always appear in the control line region (C), indicating that the proper volume of specimen has been added and membrane wicking has occurred.

Instructions for the Fentanyl Drug Test Kit

Bring the test, specimen, buffer and/or controls to room temperature (15–30 °C) before use. Then follow a few simple steps:

  1. Open : Remove the fentanyl drug test cassette from the sealed pouch and use it as soon as possible (best within one hour).
  2. Add drops : Place the cassette on a flat surface. Using the pipette, add three drops of urine to the designated well (see picture 2).
  3. Wait : Three drops are sufficient for the urine to fill the strip. Simply wait for the results to appear.
  4. Read : Read the result after 5 minutes. Do not interpret the result after 10 minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions about Fentanyl Test Strips

What is a fentanyl test kit?

Fentanyl test strips are small, portable devices designed to detect the presence of fentanyl in substances such as drugs or pills. They work on the principle of immunochromatography, where antibodies on the strip react with fentanyl molecules to produce visible lines indicating presence or absence.

How do fentanyl test strips work?

A fentanyl test strip is one of the most commonly used drug testing strips. On our site you’ll find two types: Fentanyl 20 ng/mL or the less sensitive 200 ng/mL. A small amount of the substance is mixed with water and applied to the strip. After a few minutes, check for one or two lines – just like a pregnancy test. Two lines = negative (no fentanyl detected), one line = positive (fentanyl detected).

Why are fentanyl test strips important?

Fentanyl test strips play a critical role in harm reduction by empowering individuals to make informed decisions about drug use. With the surge in fentanyl-related overdoses – especially in street heroin and counterfeit pills – these strips provide a simple, accessible way to detect this extremely potent opioid, potentially preventing overdoses and saving lives.

Narcan and Fentanyl Test Strips – Why Together?

The power of these two tools lies in their combined ability to prevent opioid overdoses. Fentanyl test strips allow users to check for dangerous fentanyl contamination before use. If detected, people can reduce their dose, avoid use entirely, or seek a safer alternative. In case of overdose, Narcan (naloxone) is the critical intervention that rapidly reverses opioid effects and restores breathing.

How to Obtain Fentanyl Test Strips?

The fentanyl test kit is available through multiple channels: single tests on Amazon, bulk sales at the lowest market prices (for harm-reduction organizations, needle-exchange programs, and online retailers). In some regions, they are distributed free through public-health initiatives fighting the opioid crisis. Individuals can also purchase them for personal use to test substances they intend to consume.

Can Fentanyl Test Strips Prevent Overdoses and Save Lives?

While they cannot guarantee prevention of overdoses, they significantly lower the risk by alerting users to fentanyl presence. Armed with this information, people can make informed choices – whether to use, how much, or seek safer options. Combined with other harm-reduction strategies (naloxone distribution, opioid education), fentanyl test strips are part of a comprehensive overdose prevention approach.
